Toyota Corolla, Great American Race
The Toyota Corolla turned 50 years old in 2016 and to celebrate, RACER Studio found an original condition, first generation Corolla and prepped it to enter the 2016 Great American Race from North California to Chicago, Illinois. Driven by X-Games and action sports star Jaimie Bestwick, new celebrities joined in the fun along the way. RACER Studio planned and coordinated all of the event logistics as well as car prep. Once the race was underway, a film crew followed along to produce a 10-part YouTube Series that garnered over 150,000 views
Toyota Land Cruiser Media Trip, Australia
In 2015, Toyota relaunched for model year 2016 their iconic Land Cruiser. To make the media launch extra special, a select group of journalists were taken to Sydney, Australia and the Flinders Range of Southern Outback to experience to new car in a place where there is a deep reverence for the Land Cruiser model. RACER Studio worked closely with Toyota to develop, plan and host the 7 day journey which included driving the American model cars across some amazing landscapes in the heart of the Flinders range as well as a visit to the Land Cruiser Clubs proving grounds outside of Canberra.
2015 Bentley Motors Motorsport Activation
Bentley Motors, Inc. selected RACER Studio to develop and execute the guest experience for the first two rounds of the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge in Austin, Texas and St. Petersburg, Florida as well as the press launch of the 2015 Bentley Mulsanne Speed in Austin. RACER Studio called upon event marketing agency Nth Degree to collaborate on developing and executing both events.
The combined teams of RACER Studio and Nth Degree were responsible for the planning, logistics and management of all three events. The Austin event at Circuit of The Americas hosted 16 journalists and over 80 guests and dealers from the Austin, Dallas and Houston markets. The Mulsanne Speed press launch included a 200-mile media drive as well as evening dinners, while the guest and media event at the track incorporated behind the scenes tours of the Bentley Team Dyson Racing and PWC operations, plus track laps and other VIP elements over four days.
The St. Petersburg event hosted 75 guests and regional dealers over two days where guests received VIP treatment including special parking, circuit transfers and behind the scenes tours.

Toyota TundraCross
RACER Studio produced this media event to introduce Toyota’s 2015 Tundra TRD Pro Baja 1000 contender. Held in conjunction with Toyota’s annual Surfercross, this event gave selected lifestyle media representatives, pro surfers and motocross riders a taste of off-road truck racing.
Project Yaris
The Toyota Yaris SCCA Club Racing Project was started as a proof of concept, and an opportunity to excite influencers with the subcompact’s sportiness and reliability.
The first generation Yaris H Production race car took shape during the 2010 SCCA racing season. It was featured in two issues of SportsCar magazine – showing the build process and the culmination of a season of racing – before taking a place of honor in Toyota’s booth at the 2010 SEMA Show.
The project garnered so much attention that we were asked to partner with Toyota in the alternative marketing launch of the redesigned 2012 Yaris by building a racecar for action sports legend Jamie Bestwick. We introduced the 2012 Yaris racecar at the 2011 SEMA Show, while the road-going version of the car was introduced at the Lollapalooza music festival. Bestwick was introduced to SCCA Club Racing, scoring a number of podium finishes on his way to the SCCA National Championship Runoffs at the famed Road America circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wis.
Over five seasons of Yaris racing we have collected two podium finishes at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs (2011 and 2014), three Divisional Championships (2011, 2012, 2013), five track records, and 21 National race wins.
